A native of Wisconsin, Dr. Schumacher completed his undergraduate work at the US Air Force Academy and received his medical doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed five years of residency training in Orthopedic Surgery. He is committed to continuing education with an ambitious schedule of surgical skill seminars, national meetings, and advanced orthopedic courses to ensure all of his patients receive the most current treatment available.

Dr. Schumacher is now traveling with the U.S. Ski team to international events like the World Cup, as well as year-round consultation to the team.
